Two biobanks operate in the Eastern collaborative area:

Cancer associations
Four member associations of the Finnish Cancer Society operate in the Eastern collaborative area. Their main purpose is to provide cancer patients and their carers with guidance at various stages of illness, as well as organize peer support, rehabilitation and adaptive training courses, and volunteer and recreational activities. Regional associations have local departments and clubs, who are responsible for local activities.
